I bought these Rainbow Hornet Zoas from Zoanthid.com 2 months ago. And some clove polyps are now growing out from the zoas. It doesn't seem that the cloves are stinging the zoas but it does look like they are irritating the zoas. Any suggestion in how to remove the cloves without harming the zoas? If I just pull them out with tweezers they'll just grow back, right? What suggestions do you have?

A little late for that... he said it’s been 2 months.
Yeah, I bought them at their Mega Meltdown sale at the end of June. I didn't notice the cloves until like a week ago. I've never intentionally introduced this type of clove in my tank. So I'm pretty sure it came with this specific frag. It seems these zoas are not fast growers so not sure they will choke out the cloves unless I cut the cloves out like Katelynn suggested. Not excited about that since these guys are nicely glued down but that is what I will likely do unless someone comes up with another suggestion.

Maybe you could cut the cloves then superglue the roots, much like how you would get rid of vermetid snails. This took care of an Aptaisa on a zoa frag in my coral qt.
