Have you tried dosing Kalk? I was able to get my pH up to 8.2 just doing that. The co2 scrubber prior to flooding, got me pass 8.3. Frankly, I think you're good with that current setup. However, 4 days is not long at all LOL.

Do you own a Trident? If not, you should really consider it. It was a game changer for me. Made me more confident to "experiment" and monitor all my parameters closely. Btw, there won't be an alk swing with dosing Kalk. It works in unison with calcium, so the levels are balanced. You may get a magnesium dip, but that's easy to fix and dosing 100-200 ppm to increase has zero detrimental effects on your corals.

So far my pH is higher than yesterday at the same time. I'm starting to believe a close loop hinders the effectiveness of the co2 reactor. Return line is not connected to the skimmer cup. Screenshot_20200919-125121.jpg

Number looks good. This is not recirculated. I removed the orange return line to the skimmer and removed the tape covering the holes to the skimmer cup. Screenshot_20200919-170816.jpg
