This guy is so colorful, if I thought it could swim, I would put it in my reef tank. The orange part almost looks metallic in the sun. It builds a really cool web too - it has a 3-D structure in addition to the typical flat circle.

Never saw one so colorful. Is it local? My son loves spiders - must show him :).

Yes, it is local - it is in my back yard. The web is between a bush and the house. There was one support line that went all the way to the second floor balcony, so it is quite an ambitious builder.
