I only know that because I had a Maxspect jump that died and Coralvue told me to take a hike, because they were not supporting that product anymore. They told me to call BRS. To this day no one ever responded to that ticket.

This is why the BRS merger is killing the industry.

I make it a point to look for BRS alternatives. It’s kind of dumb how aquarium supply co’s literally carry opposite inventory if that’s even possible. It always seems like I need to be placing 2 orders with 2 companies to get what I need. I have to say that saltwateraquarium.com has better pricing on a lot of things. I literally had simple item yesterday and its list was $4 cheaper than BRS.

Edit: BRS house brand chemicals and particular The DI resins kinda suck. Feels like zero quality control. One bag was so stuffed it leaked purple di resin over everything. Got a replacement.. half full of resin but full price. (They did replace it when I called but made me pay for shipping again) half the time the resins don’t change colors as advertised.

Also, aquarium companies in general, have the worst product support and customer service I have seen anywhere. that leaves room for an Amazon / Walmart of reef supply with a great return policy and one that actually treats customers as a valuable asset that pays your bills instead of the next sucker that is going to get grabbed by the ankles.

This last packaging was totally screwed up. I ordered a bunch of sch 80 fittings and a bag a Marco rocks. All the fittings were loose and the bag of frag rocks just crushed/scratched/ damaged fittings. Smh.... (n)
