I have one on order.

I am planning on controlling 2 maxspect 350's and 2 maxspect 250's along with my MP40's.

Curios if anyone has one ?

It’s completely sealed so it can go anywhere really. Not sure how they are dealing with heat though. Makes one wonder how long the electronics will hold up.

No it has four direct drive ports so it has to supply power to those pumps in addition to signaling.

It has two 0-10v ports to provide signaling for those types of pumps.

The RF signaling for ecotech pumps is just that. The pumps have there own drivers.

It looks like a good design. I don’t know much about it. Is it only for specific pumps? How do you get your pumps to plug into it? It appears to have a different port to plug 🔌 into that is not like a normal outlet. Doing away with several power bricks would be quite nice.

You have to get the appropriate dongle.

Yeah, he said they work closely with Gyre, Ice Cap, and Reef Octopus. So these companies allowed them to have direct hookups. So you don’t have to use their controllers or power bricks.

EcoTech let them have a chip. Tunze allowed them to use a 0-10 port. But these other companies like these two still require their controllers and bricks from what it sounded like to me.

It’s got a decent selection of pumps you can use. I have AC return pump but if I switch to DC I will probably choose Varios so I can control with this.

The only thing I don’t like is no battery backup for the gyres at the moment. I have four batteries for my two 250’s to keep tank water oxygenated if power goes out. But can’t use them with wave engine.

There's a particular company that sells controllers (insert name here) that pressured their vendors not to carry the Hydros controller as it directly competed with them. There was an article on R2R...it didn't say who it was, but I can tell you it wasn't GHL. Not only is this company a bully, but there is only one major Vendor that doesn't carry them. That vendor starts with a B and ends with an S. This is probably the same reason why they don't carry Profilux controllers. Hint Hint. I like the guys at Coralvue, and I hope that this Vendor will stop playing sides because of $$$ and this company will get a reality check soon.

Every other major vendor has these in stock. ;)

So I will say it. BRS and Neptune. They in bed together. I can’t stand that kind of anti competitive behavior.

I try not to buy from BRS since they are not a sponsor and shame on Neptune. Quit being cowardly and anti competitive. Most likely if you say something about it over on R2R. I mean right in their face you will get shut down. There is a relationship there as well.

I agree. Behind the scenes there are a lot of people talking about it. What a shame that money can have such control over people. We see this today across the board.

Welp I’m having to wait until next week to get this bad boy hooked up. The WiFi signal in our sun room is to weak for it to connect. Do have a netgear ac3000 mesh WiFi extender coming. In the mean time I got the wave engine registered. It’s hooked up my office currently.
