Looking at some Scuba diving on my next Vacation. How do i go about bringing back some corals or fish? Anything special I need to do? Permits if so from who. Or is this not possible. I'm thinking Cozumel but the wife wants to go to Australia and New Zealand ( Great Barrier reef!!!!!!)

You need an importers license, it’s a big hassle, cuz u can’t bring it on the plane with you. You have to ship, customs will throw it away if you bring it as a carry on, you can only travel with corals and fish inside the us. And Canada

Hawai’i is a no go, they have to regulate what goes in and out of the state, TSA will
Take a lot of convincing. As far as diving, u can that in to driving to a lfs where ever you go lol. But there not really much places you can take corals out, I’ve never don’t that at least.

Now if you do go to Hawaii, and staying in Oahu you must go snorkeling in hanuma bay! It’s amazing! A must see! the fish are huge, and the last time I was there there was a seal Hang in the beach! I also saw a dragon eel! And sooo many beautiful Hawai’ian fish there!
