Couple questions for y'all that have made shaker doors before.

1) Where did you source your plywood inlays? The only place that I've found anything close to 1/4" is Rockler, which is actually .23" thick, and costs $30 for a 24"x 60" sheet. That will work just fine, I was wondering if I could find something cheaper though.

2) Did you use spacers in the rails to allow the inlay to expand?

Are you looking for something special instead of just using 1/4" birch or maple plywood from HD or Lowes?

As for expansion just don't make the joints too tight. Make your rabbit/dado slot 1/8" bigger (deeper) than your panel (1/16" each side)
