I am thinking maybe the heat. Tangs are prone Ick. I have a yellow and dori...So to combat that I put the tank at over 80 for a few days. Sometimes up to 82.9999. Maybe now that I am using rodi water ..a cleaner better quality water I can afford to feed the elegance more.

I used to only go for v shaped ones. Last one I was told was a captive bred frag
This one is from the same chain but closer location so I imagine it is a captive frag as well. The sales rep this time was cute but not so swift lol. I am pretty sure it is something I am doing. It is hard to keep everybody happy in the tank. Once I see my tangs scratching up goes the temp. My partial water changes and top ups could go by the book more so will do that. I am now using a months are numbered elegance to tell me the water nutrient level. Hopefully that will help out my new one as well. H.N.Y.

Shouldnt need to feed the elegance. It will take what it needs from food and waste in the tank.

Indo elegances are believed to have an elegance jelly disease, similar to brown jelly. I believe that's what has also affected euphyllia now too......

Here’s mine. Aussie and cone shape base. I do feed it. I tried a couple before finding success with this one.

Mine died. I gave it a regular water change then it shriveled up. It never recovered after that. But that is ok. Win some and loose some... I am going to back off the elegance coral for a while. For green I got a trumpet frag. I told my gf one is for her and one is for me...It is us forever. lol.
