My elegance coral never liked the place i put it but it was far enough away from everything as to not sting everything. It literally just detached from its skeleton, like clean, and started floating around like a anemone. Seems to be doing just fine, picture is one week later. You think You've seen it all lol PXL_20221002_005956932.MP.jpg

I have euphyllia that do the same..polyp bailout. Usually when disturbed.
I've seen it too. It's the coral trying to establish a new, more preferred location.

Once it leaves the skeleton it is done in my experience with them. I have had a few. As far As I am concerned they can not to be taken lightly.

Nah... if you take care of them they will grow. These been going for few months after bailout. Definetly growing. 20221005_114039.jpg 20221005_114116.jpg
