Great idea!!!

So the sump is under the tank - still have a closet by the tank for the semi auto water change system, ro/di unit and all the electrical stuff (ecotech battery back ups/power supplies) and other supplies excluding APEX.

I will post a picture once I tidy up the place-work in progress as of now.:)

Awesome!!!! Even having sump in there would be cool because of the space.

That tank is prime real estate for a giant magnifica anemone!

It's going to be real nice to sit back and watch all the fish go through their stages of development and coloration changes. Watching the angels change to adult coloration and also the Orange shoulder's change I felt was interesting albeit not as dramatic as the angels.

Yes for sure.
I just finished setting up the fish isolation tank in the garage. All the new fish goes in there for at least 6 weeks. I didn't want to be cruel so got a standard 4 ft tank by 2 ft with some established rock. :)

Fun rockscape!

How are you liking acrylic over glass?

Hey Brian, nice to see you on here. Yeah I wanted wide open columns for extra water flow and just in case I need to remove a rock column for any reason. All are removable except the 3 ft wide arch.

I definitely like acrylic in this size tank for safety reasons...smaller tank glass is better. Scratches are not a problem. I never use a magnet in the tank. I stick my hand in the tank twice a week to wipe the panels. My tank is BB with hi flow; a maxspect gyre 280/ 2 MP60s / 2 MP40s...adding another gyre 280 next week. So high flow/BB really helps prevent scratches in my opinion.

recent pics?

Hopefully soon once I hang the ATI fixtures. I have been so busy with house reno and had some wifi issues with my apex. Things are calming down so back to tank now.

I have not bought any new fish or corals for the last few months. I really miss fish/coral shopping.
