So I bought this tank back on Easter and it’s really just been sitting there collecting dust. So here is the progress so far. All of the equipment has been purchased except a calcium reactor an apex a couple of extra power heads and maybe even an alkatronic. I started to dump salt in last night after it took 5 days to fill with RODI

Tank just sitting there plumbed but nothing else

Polishing process

First pass at rockscape

Added a few more pounds of rock and added the canopy and stand wrap 414861941a55a73a8845d95cd4dcb131.jpg 53e95d0968f29c4bfdf451388206c13a.jpg a125907555d0a40345d542de37077052.jpg 30dc21d2cd49d697288a72c25340f5a2.jpg

More to come once I get the pumps running and the lights hung in the canopy. Overall this thing is 8ft long and with the canopy is roughly 8ft tall. Eventually this guy will be the centerpiece and has almost paid for the tank. c7113bc2856d92db9274318b17767c1b.jpg

Looking good!! Love the side view of the right side rock pile. Keep the picture coming. What kind of equipment will you be using?

Looks awesome. When are you going to change your corals to the big tank?

Looking good. Five days to fill your tank?! What size membrane do you use? That seems like it took a long time.

100gpd Vertex unit. I suspect my booster pump might not be working right. The gauge says zero pressure which I know that’s bad so I can’t get a good reading. I am going to upgrade the unit sometime next year to a new one since the solenoids for the auto flush went out. Still producing zero tds so not in a big rush but once I need to replace filters will probably pull the trigger

Gotcha. I upgraded to a 150gpd membrane, then added a second 150gpd as well. Mine cranks and I love it.

Great start Jason! Looks great...

One suggestion-go with the gyre 280, it creates amazing flow. I have one and second one is on the way.

Can't wait to see it come together. What is the name of the first frag? I like the color.
