simple math, 3.4% kill rate
100,000 infected = 3400 deaths
1,000,000 infected = 34,000 deaths
there is no reason to not to suspect many more millions are actually infected but since no viable tests or data makes us blind.

its easy to write off those numbers as collateral damage except, be prepared for some of that collateral damage to affect you personally.
Not to mention you’re always behind the curve considering that you are contagious long before you show symptoms with this particular virus. Not to mention, everyone is keeping it hush.

For instance, my wife’s good friend is a nurse in a hospital here in the woodlands. A week ago, the staff was pulled into a room, told that they have one confirmed, potential more people, and told to keep their mouth shut. These cases have yet to be reported anywhere. It’s not as benign as people are making it out to be, and were are looking at a difficult 3-6 months going forward.

also, I'm not worried health wise the one thing about this that actually has me worried is economically, and how much it is tied to our 5-grade president. if you look the markets are going crazy and wild and that will hurt everyone badly if this keeps on

the market may seem wild but it tells the truth. no matter the words coming (or not coming) from politicians. even before this incident the economy was "top heavy" and everyone was sort of expecting a recession. now we have one for sure but with a bang that no one expected. that assshole Larry Kudrow was on the tv a week ago after the market had shed 2k points for the first time since 2008 saying "blah blah you buy the dip blah blah.." hows that working out for you Larry? its hilarious and painful at the same time watching these people literally think they are smarter than everyone else.

anyone care to estimate the "bottom" ? I say around 13-15k points

the way it has been explained to me is that if everyone gets sick at once, there simply will not be enough respirators/ medical equipment / medication go go around. in Italy they are already deciding who get treatment based on chance of survival.
thats crazy, and to think some people are happy cause they may get to skip class.

greg now that's out of context if you include my more thorough explanation you will see that that is a small benefit

here is more than the ya i get no school
well, not sickness and death the truth of this disease is that it has a TOTAL 2% mortality rate and with current protection and help the average American or person can live through this while the elderly will mostly die they won't die in vein pandemics are VITAL to our history and when they come so does change the 1918 pandemic showed the importance of quarantine and transparency in war and conflicts and even vaccines were part of the result of it. a good recent example is SARS where governments learned not to cover up pandemics and the dangers of doing that and this pandemic WILL expose cracks and flaws in our health care system leading to the improvement and if we are lucky overhaul of it making lives better for decades to come and with many people believing that vaccines cause autism the vaccine when it is made will show that vaccines are important again and hurt that movement i can go on for about an hour school is just a small bonus i am a crass and upfront person so that is why i said that i dont wish death on many people ( and 90% are people everyone thinks should die like kim or the Iranian government ext)
yes and the wave of new medical innovation and inventions is already starting this as i said to bring change to the world for the better
