So my 90 is still running and going but, I'm having a lil trouble deciding what I can put all in it. Ive only had nanos so I'm not use to so many options (5-30 gals). So with that I would like to show what I have thought of to put in so far and what I have so far. I should note I'm not going to add another fish for another 3 months. Just to be on the safe side and see how it does with the current guys I have and to let the bioload catch up. I'm mainly looking to keep smaller fish but, with the exception of a few. I am running a skimmer rated for 210 and doing 20 gallon weekly water changes. Figure with that I could get away with a lil more then what people usually put in a 90. Also I'm looking to set it up as a mixed reef, mainly SPS some LPS and softies only being shrooms, zoas, star polyps.

Current stock:
1 Pink Streak Wrasse
1 Baggai Cardinal
1 Tail Spot Blenny

Future possible stock:
1 White Tail Bristletooth tang (very last guy to go in because I worry about it picking on new fish coming in after him)
3-5 anthias (i'm unsure of this still because of the limited size i have which is 90 gallons)
2 paired up Dragon face Pipefish (one of the last ones to go in the tank)
Goby and pistol Shrimp pair

and so far thats it off the top of my head. If you think I should add something or take something off let me know. Hell even show me a really neat fish that could be compatible with my tank.

I suggest rethinking the pair of pipefish they have special requirements that may be difficult to achieve in your 90g.

Pipefish. *

From my understanding that you can find some thst are excepting frozen food and thst dragonface are some of the easier and more readily to except frozen foods. Its eother them or a pair of golden dwarf moray eels but I fear since I want mostly smaller fish and for the sake of my pink streak which is my favorite fish, they'll eat them being theyre fish eaters but, only on smaller fish. How small or how big they can eat, I do not know but, I would not like to risk this. If I knew for a fact they wont attack my smaller fish then ill jump on them instead of the pipefish.

I agree eels in this particular 90g system sound like a bad idea and with pipefish being as difficult as they are I would just go with the peaceful/moderately aggressive route. I like blackcap basslets, royal grammas, maybe even look into clowns.

An eel will really limit your fish choices. I have a 16" Yellow Headed Moray in my 110 Tall fowlr and two days into the tank he ate my Maroon Clown. And eats Feeder fish the size of my thumb. Domino Damsel hasn't been messed with, I have a 4" Koran Angel and 6" Blue Spotted Grouper that will not be a problem. The grouper and moray have settled their issues and are doing fine now.

My thoughts exactly with my choices beinging limited with the dwarf moray even woth them being supposedly "reef safe". I think I might stick with the pipefish idea because like I said I wanted to add them when the tank was much much more mature not only that I plan on seeding the tank an fuge with pods and hopefully get a stable colony of them in th er before I could get a pipefish. I know theyre said to be difficult and not for the faint of heart but, ive been willing to push myself hard for this tank and i'd tank the extra mile to ensure the well being of them.

Not only thst, ive been looking into auto feeder for frozen/live foods because of me wanting anthias. Figured that it would help in the long run for both of these fish in the tank.
