Howdy! We purchased a house six months ago with a large reef tank. We haven't traveled much since purchasing the house, but are planning a week-long vacation next year.

Who takes care of your tanks while you're away for several days+?

Thank y'all!

Find a reefer near you. That's what I do. When they go out of town, I help with their tank, and vice versus.

I leave them on their own. I do a partial water change before I go. I use a fish feeder and add an extra heater. I think I have only.lost one fish ...an old yellow damsel that I hated anyways. I have lost a few corals though. Before the pandemic I traveled lots and lots. Chances are I have been in your neighbourhood or vicinity.
