Here is a fishing trip with Steve on his boat out in Galveston 4months ago. We caught around 18 bullreds around 37" and only kept 3 because we only have 3 tags.

I caught a 39" this past summer. Not sure how much it weighed since his hand scale maxed out at 25 lbs.

It probably weighed close to 40 lbs.
All the ones we caught that day were the same size - 36" to 38". We were at the end of the south jetty. Quite a day...

We fish it but we tend to have an issue catching some small enough to turn in. Fish out at the gas wells a lot.

I caught mine out off of kemah near what I refer to as the pipeline grave yard. We went with a charter for a fishing tournament with my dads work. There were a bunch of old natural gas wells around the area. It was the only red I caught all day and took forever to real in, he kept running when he got within 5 feet of the boat. I caught a ton of speckled trout and gulf trout, atleast 30 from 6-11am. And too many gafftops to count.
