True story caught an 8 lb cat in the bay thru it in the ice chest. Few minutes later caught another trout, when I opened up the ice chest
the catfish had ate one of my trout only the tip of its tail sticking out

Yes flatheads/yellow cats when small prefer live or fresher baits so anything that looks real fish they go after.
They’re considered one of the better tasting freshwater fish for a reason [emoji16]
