Hey Y’all
New to the saltwater/Reef world. Many years in planted (ADA) tanks before moving to Texas. Tank started as a Fluval Flex 15 for a beta. Took out the AIO drilled out the tank and added a sump to keep as much equipment out of the tank. Minimalist scape, light sand bed. Will become an Anemone tank with two Clownfish.

Tank: Fluval Flex 15
Overflow: Fiji cube 400
Return: Syncra Silent 1.5
Sump: Fiji cube Advanced 12
Control: Apex classic
Light: AI prime
Fuge: Kessil Tuna Flora

Changing things up in a few weeks. So will update as they come.

New sump and cabinet. Need to add the Fuge light but it’s about done. Total water volume is now about 25 gallons. Once the Cheato starts growing I’m hoping my PH will jump up a bit. If not I’ll have to figure something else out. BE836BAD-0289-4CC9-83F5-B59FB3452E93.jpeg C2032FA7-94DF-4880-98FE-33F647C393C0.jpeg 5ED45F87-DAD9-4801-BE1C-EB4EF5E578AE.jpeg

It’s a bit of a mess right now hahah. Started dosing Kalk and got my ph to a good spot finally.
Changes the scape, and tried my hand at rolling the cheato. I forgot how dirty the Fuge area can get with light spillage ect.
Next tank I think is going have an external Fuge to allow me to pull it out and keep the light spillage contained.

GF decided to gift me what a UNS 90s huge upgrade is everything, so for the time being this is just going run to keep the clowns going. Eventually need to tear it down to move over the apex over to the new system and I think this whole system will be out for sale. Eventually I’ll start a thread for the new tank

Ya I’m looking to add either one of theses external glass refugiums or mount a 10 gal in the back above the sump and have a gravity feed Fuge. Will be painting 3 sides black, and mount the light real close to the top.

Really over the light spillage, and would like to be able to keep it separate to pull out and deep clean when I want to.
