But!!! Did I show off my new calcium reactor? I got this thing brand new, for a rippin’ deal, too! Local reefer that didn’t realize how big it was... he’s going with 2-part for now as his tank is mostly LPS.

D’oh! Sorry man! Didn’t see this post!

I love the tank, but it’s not the best. It had some minor imperfection that set it apart from folks like Reef Savvy, but it’s way better than a lot of setups I’ve run. Definitely worth the money, considering what I asked for.

Basically if you look at all of these builders out there, Planet is upper tier, but on the bottom of that tier (in the realm of good, better, best).

Say there’s 10 manufacturers of the best tier... Planet is about 8-9th place in there. All things considered, though! Including shipping and customer service. I may have to make a video to show my logic behind this, but hoping you get the point.

Now, if you look at a Reef Savvy tank, there’s hardly any imperfections; but, there are give and takes there too. I’d still have them in the best tier, at 2-3.

With no biases removed, I’m extremely happy with this tank though!

I doubt the site would sponsor it (because of sponsors) but I would love to see a top 10 custom tank builder list. I would have thought Planet would be top 3 but after reading flip's response I would like to see who the others are! I wonder where Elos or Custom Aquariums would end up...or glass cages... yeah I know. That sounds like a whole new thread! Hey @Cody why dont you get on that!

I have not seen enough tanks to have much of an opinion....so I dont think I would qualify.

Just start a thread and ask for peoples experiences with vendors. i think it would be interesting as well. I just wanted you to know there is no prohibition against having a thread like that.
