Cool! I’ve never used it before but kinda want to get that number shaved in half. I may give it a try tonight, after the lights go out.

Thanks Steve!

Man.... I chickened out last night. Haha!

I did do a thing though....

I bought those RW-20s from Reefaholic and it made me realize that gyres aren’t doing the job.

Have you guess ever used Phosphate Rx? Any experiences welcome.

I would go with P rx vs lanthanum chlorine since it’s lower risk. Watch this:

Lanthanum is ok too but got to dose very slowly.

What do y’all think phosphate RX is?

Diluted lanthanum chloride.

Just get a bottle of SeaKlear Commercial Phosphate Remover. It will last forever.

You can dilute it with RODI. Saves a ton of money over the hobby oriented phosphate reducers.

I’ve diluted at 5ml/L typically but have gone up to 10ml/L with 10 micron socks and have seen no ill effects.

No reason you can’t go more diluted say 1ml/L or even .5ml/L.

Well, I already had the Phosphate RX, so I'll use it up then go the other route later. :)

I did dose it, but haven't checked where my phosphates are at yet. I'll check sometime, later today.

I also removed the canopy on my tank. The fixture's hanging from the ceiling now. I messed up one of my reefbrite brackets while doing so, but I think I can fix it without too much problems.

So, the phosphate remover did pretty good. I took it easy on the first dose, too.

Pretty cool! One more dose like that tonight should put me at a comfortable number. I only did 100 drops on my “guesstimated” 270-280 gallons of total water.

Still working out some other setup concerns but my numbers are holding steady enough to start testing once a week. Pretty happy about that! [emoji16]

You should celebrate that result with a vodka martini, shaken, not stirred.

LOL!

So, added another dose of Phosphate RX this morning (early). Will check my numbers tomorrow.

Also, getting the Vortechs today. I’m kinda excited about them because the last time I bought new ones was back when they had MP-20’s (blue controller). Haha!

Also, my little CUC should be here tomorrow. [emoji16]

Dude... it's killing me. The package(s) have been delivered but I can't go play with the tank until these meetings are done! I'm dying to get those vortechs in there.

Also, looks like I got my replacement door for the Waterbox 20 stand. This is the third one! Those folks at WB are very patient!

Will post some pics later on. My tank has already cleared up too (phosphate remover), so I'll do a quick phosphate test today, too.
