Have any of y’all used this? How does it stack up to frozen food as far as nutrition for critters? Do you have to rehydrate the stuff before you use it or just throw it in?

Are you using this regularly? Do they need to be rehydrated or can you just dump them in your tank?

just once a week or so.

im lazy so i don't turn off my flow when i feed. so without a feeding ring or having it hydrated, they tend to float at longer than I would like. And sometimes makes it down the overflow

I never understood turning off your flow when you feed, minus target feeding particular corals. It just falls to the bottom until your pumps turn on and the actual feeding begins. Corals and fish alike all filter feed. Give the fish something to chase for some excitement, and let the food be captured by corals how they do in nature. I'm a big proponent of broadcast feeding.

Funny you mention that, I just got my 3/8" clear acrylic in today to make lids. I figured with the cost of fish these days, I can no longer risk a jumper. I have a design that should be pretty economical, as far as cost is concerned, and should be pretty low profile as well. I would finish them this weekend, but I'm working. I'm hoping to have them done by next weekend so I can start moving the yellow tang and longfin clowns to a new tank.

I dont think the lids are made from acrylic cause they will warp under your lights. UV coated polycarbonate is what you need.
