If his saltwater gets close to 28 degrees it’s over anyway.Saltwater will freeze at 28 degrees, or there about depending on salinity.

I’d personally do this. I wouldn’t risk your reservoirs gregg.yes i think im going to go this route... im gonna do a 40gallon water change, drain the 100 gallons of RO into the salt container and add salt. The saltwater container should be fine but just in case i wont fill it up all the way and the fresh tank only has a couple inches in it. fingers crossed!
Bearing sea?I have seen galveston bay froze over, salt water does freeze
This is what worries me about cracking. Especially if it snows... ever poured hot water on a iced windshield only to see it crack?Another thing to consider is the aquarium as well...if the inside temp is around 80 and the outside temp is below freezing. This will cause stress on the structure of the glass ???? I am not an expert I am just saying... might be something to look into ???
Placed the order yesterday afternoon, Amazon just delivered 600 more watts of heating powerThen you’ll get the message... “due to local weather conditions in your area...this order will be delayed.”
I have a build thread on my on profile that you can look at. Thinking about running my patio heaters next to the tankYa. I would insulate ..add heaters and check on the temp. I can't imagine seeing Galveston bay froze over.... G.O.M. is usually so warmmm. Are there any pics of your tank ?
I have two 100 gallon storage tanks in my backyard full of ro water and one with salt water.
my question is, if I lower the water level and they freeze will it rupture the tank or use the empty space to expand?
You got lucky, because most come from Dallas or down I-10 to deliver. They must be clear.Placed the order yesterday afternoon, Amazon just delivered 600 more watts of heating power
