I'm interested in learning what everybody is using for refugium lighting.
Did you spring for the high-priced kessils?
The super budget CFL setup from HD?
I went with a middle ground option, a nice looking COB grow light from Amazon.

Seems to be doing well so far, I'm going to par test it when I get my hands on the West Side par meter.

I think I'll be using this in the future. They offer up to 1200w lights, but this should be strong enough.

That thing looks like a beast. Almost double the wattage of the $1,200 Kessil H1200..
What you currently using?

The part that's browning out at the top is due to photo-saturation. Try to get the chaeto to rotate with a powerhead (best way), or physically rotate it yourself. Another option is to reduce the hours your light is on.

Why fix something if it’s not broke? Great flow through all chaeto and no algae. Sounds like mission accomplished in my opinion

Eh just saying. Want some caulerpa? I got some in on my tampa bay live rock and I've been throwing it in the refugium. It's growing like crazy. My tang likes to eat it too.

I think I will try to decrease my hours on though just because I don’t think it could hurt. I don’t have room for any more I’m full lol

You need a specific chamber for it to tumble. I'll post pics when I get home.

Here's my old setup. Worked well.
