look up @Humblefish thread in the fish sickness. He maintains a network of LFS and/or individuals in the trade that follow strict QT procedures and allow you purchase quality fish that has been correctly QT'ed.
that's actually exactly what I'm referring to! So the 500% markup is obvi an exaggeration; I saw that Humblefish's markup is 50% retail price of fish + price of fish + $50 overnight shipping (or something like that, iirc) which seems SO REASONABLE compared to all the time and effort we've had to put into quarantining.

Irony is that as beginners we're starting simple so our fish only cost $12-15. I literally only have $50 worth of fish in my tank :ROFLMAO: (they're priceless in my heart tho)

I read all those and he wrote another series that started with the book “death rides a pale horse” it starts with a desperate guy sitting in a bad spot getting ready to off himself with a gun. Somehow he hesitates and death comes to collect seconds early. The guy gets startled/scared when death walks through the door and shoots death. Funny thing, by “killing” death, he has to assume the duties and responsibilities of death. That’s the beginning lmao.
That reminds me Christopher Moore’s book A Dirty Job. Christopher Moore is one of my favorites. His stories are charming and clever.

In a dirty job, the protagonist ends up becoming death and has to retrieve people’s souls to be passed on. However, people’s souls are embodied in what they valued and his daughter might actually be the child of satan. Hi jinx ensue from there.

One of my other favorites of his is Lamb. It’s the story of Jesus’ missing 30 years told through the perspective of his best friend Biff. Biff was the a-hole that Jesus couldn’t be and they get into all kinds of situations. His books are pretty good!

So Cody.. when your not being the Pat Sajack of the internet, you do a lot of reading? It has been a long time since I have read those books. But I will give Christopher Moore a shot.
