Just let me chime in a little and provide some clarity.

Indo is not open. Jake's article is half true. There was a resolution passed to re open Indonesia for exportation but they still all had to agree on a new process, permitting process, and allowed species. They never came to an agreement so nothing has shipped.

Torches are not as easy to get from anyplace really any longer. Aussie gold's have tripled in price from origin and demand out paces supply by 2 to 1 at least. The problem is stores and online retailers do not have as steady of access to gold torches from Aussie as they used to. Plus with Indonesia still being closed importation from Aussie has increased 4 fold and it is hard for them to keep up with the demand.

Fantastic insight. Thanks. Considering that there is a petition to open those trades up, and that many people are buying with the sole purpose of speculation, it still seems like sometime in the future, this bubble will pop. Those Indonesian corals didn't stop growing due to an export problem. Once that ban drops, all of those speculators are going to be left with tulips. The exporters and vendors will ride a nice wave down to the beach of reasonable pricing once it happens though. Hobbyists just can't grow as well as the ocean, for some reason.

Man with all the tech and all the time and money we invest in our tanks and how controlled our tanks are some of us like myself still can’t grow corals! Well I haven’t tried in a few months I’ve been coral less for 3 or 4 months now. I’m going to try again. But like how is aquaculture still not enough to suffice from the ocean? Isn’t all the cool variations brought out in grow tank anyway so why are we still taking from the ocean? Just some late night thoughts while I sit here and design a new control board for my tank.

Looks like folks are getting a little nervous. I am seeing an uptick in hobbyest trying to move higher priced Euphyllia. Prices are still up but they don’t want to get stuck holding the bag. This is across 6 different boards that I peruse.
Sell them tulips. No one wants to be the last one with the hot potato. Those $500 heads of generic euphillia are going to be worth $80 in no time.

Cant wait haha
So if I said in six months the phrase "indo" won't be uttered with significance, what would you be willing to bet? I'm just joining in on the spirit of everyone that gambled on a $500 of euphillia with the hopes of reselling it for the same price.

I’m just looking to scoop up the scraps haha. I miss having colorful hammers and torches. Anything pushing Over 80 bucks is more than I’m willing to spend haha
