i don't see why it wouldn't, but then again i am no expert. i run mine off of a standard pfo ballast.

I have a 20K XM Double Ended bulb and it was about 75% as intense of my 10K AB DE's. The color was nice, but not as loud as the 10K's. The perfect setup for me would be both 10K's and 20k's covering the entire tank area with no dead spots nor knowing where the blue/white bulbs are at. I have a pic of when I had 10K's DE's on both ends and one 20K in the middle which was taken 4 months ago. Since then, I changed it back to 10k's especially since my entire tank is full of SPS frags/colonies now. Maybe once they are fully grown, I can change it to 20K to slow the growth process and bring in some color. OH and mine are 250w on an Aquaspacelight. Here is the old pic:

Well, we'll see as I got my 250w 10k XM's ordered monday. Hopefully they will get here asap. I waited til it was almost too late. 2 of my old iwasaki's burned out so it became more of an emergency.
