hi, all.
happy halloween!

haven't been real active around here and the tank's pretty young but figured i'd toss it in the mix anyway.
this is my first SW tank.
kept FW tanks for years back in high school and college (cichlids).

some minor mods, but pretty much a stock BC29 with an inTank media basket in the back.

enough words. on to pics:

in the beginning...

yep, he's a yellow assessor.
got him yesterday from Fish Gallery
he's actually one of the early release captive-bred, ORA assessors.
talk about right place at the right time...
went in to pick up a Starry Blenny and then saw him.
they got in 3 this week and he was the last.

cheers...

hey is floating upside down a new trick? lol

yeah... i'm still getting used to that.
it's weird though -> he's captive bred but still displays that behavior just like wild fish.
<just for those not familiar with Assessors... this is completely normal behavior>

he swims upside down most of the time... and sideways... and hovers.
makes for very interesting watching

That assessor is awesome, I'd like to get one of those also. I had a blue assessor - Assesor macneilli - that was just gorgeous and one of my favorite fishes...

Good luck,
Steve

wheres the assesor?
wouldn't ya know it...
buy a really cool fish and he sets up home in the back of the tank behind all the rock scape, doh!
he is in the current FTS...
he's in the lower right hand corner all the way in the back... peeking out... you can see his reflection in the side glass.
sorry my camera is a POS :crybaby:

Mine are very active and bold.. weird. I'm thinking about picking up another 2 yellow assessors, I'm kinda obsessed with them.
