Hey Marshians,

I’ve been lurking around here for a long time. Hurricanes and disinterest shut down my last foray into the hobby.

So I’m getting started again and I’m looking for a friendly nudge towards the best (price) on a 100g~ or so tank.

Used is fine; tomorrow I’d like to goto a few shops. Any suggestions? It just helps to have a few extra eyes that may have seen a good deal somewhere.

Price is an issue btw (lol).

Hope to be able to contribute to the group in some small way in the future. Bit of an anemone, rare clownfish type of guy.

Reef Currents was very cool btw [emoji1360]

Hi! I think a 100gl is a great size for a tank.

If your looking to get eyes on some tanks then I would suggest Fish Gallery or That Aquarium Place, (I think Ocean Life may have some as well), they usually have some in stock on the floor for you to look at. If you research ahead of time however, any of our LFS stores can order one for you.

The b/s/t forum usually has some pretty good deals on used tanks and you can even find some good deals in some of the FB groups.

Welcome back! Didn't you used to have a pair of Latezonatus clown fish?

Yessir I’ve owned Luecokranos(my favorites), Thiellei. Latezonatus and Mucullochi

I lost an entire 400g reef to Hurricane Ike

oh man that sucks. You planning on keeping any of those again?

I’ll always have clowns....probably go after Leucs again. I bought one of the first known breeding pairs right here in Houston from one of Marsh’s original members. (JWiseman).

Nigripes are a favorite as well.

They both are notoriously bad shippers so it’s tough to find them and then you have to actually land them in good shape.
