I have an extremely large button polyp rock, and I would like to frag some polyps off of it, but I have never fragged before and I have no idea where to start or how to do it.
Any help is appreciated

thanks,
kevin

Friendly word of advice Kevin, update your profile with a location. You do that and we'll know about where you live, somebody close by may be willing to come over and show you first hand.

I know Kevin,

If you come over again sometime put them in a bucket and I'll show you how.
Fragging is easy and fun...

Frag, frag, frag that rock....

I find it very fun cutting them up and watching them grow. I just take sizers and cut at the middle of the polyp. When you cut it towered the middle the piece that comes off turns into a full size polyp in about 2-3 weeks, and the same to the half that is still attached to the mother rock. I thought that was pretty cool.

I've used a really sharp paring knife to slide under the polyps I'm cutting off and around the edges where they're attached to the colony. But I'm no expert. I didn't kill the ones I did that way though. :)
