Hi everyone
My anemone decided to move and sting the biggest coral I had a Hollywood stunner chalice :(
I am heartbroken. The burn seems to expand rapidly so I broke off what still looked healthy but the edges still are dying off. Should I break it in the healthy part? Any tips welcome!
Thanks

My favorite chalice did the same thing. I broke ogf the dead pieces but it ended up dieing on me. And it was one that no one knew its name so I will never be able to get another one. Best of luck.

I would break it where there is no part of the burn touching healthy parts. This is a very hardy chalice. Mine grew to two dinner plate size from just a little dime size crumb of a chalice that someone thought was dead. Good luck! If it doesn't make it I can give you some of mine

Thanks for your post. I had taken a small frag before this happened so eventually I have something left. I guess I was lucky this time. But all of the mother colony died despite cutting within healthy bits. Sorry you lost yours...

Thanks Nicki! I didn't manage to save the mother colony but I had one frag left from before luckily so all good. Expect for an overflowing skimmer while I was away on vacation which destroyed the wood floor... but that's another problem :(
