Hello all,

I have a hang on back refuge with a 200 gal pump. Everything works well, with one exception. The return back to the main tank puts a lot of bubbles into the tank. It's affecting the lights with all of the splashing. I have inserted a piece of PVC pipe which keeps coming off and also looks clunky when it actually stays stills.

Also I've tried a lesser pump, but didn't do the job to push enough water through the refugium.

Hey brother, a HOB fuge is really ideal, and to be honest, will not be sufficient with nutrient export.

With that said, I think you need a real fuge and I'll be happy to help you build one.

Can you tell us a little more about ur system? Tank size, lighting, flow, livestock, etc.

I'm assuming you don't have a sump?? Why not? I can help you build a sump-fuge. Just let me know.

I'll add that to the million other reef projects I have going. :) lol
