I use one of the brass Y fittings on the cold water supply. One of the outlets goes to the washing machine. The other one has a series of adapters to eventually connect to the 1/4" RO tubing. I also put in a ball valve so that I can easily turn on/off the water supply to my system.

Cody, I couldn’t get that fitting to not leak. Wrapped it many times with plumbers tape and tried tightening with pliers.. :/

I was mixing in (2) 10/G white brutes for the 25/G.

Now I kept (1) 10/G for FW and bought a 44/G for SW. The 44/G will be used for the new 75/G.

I mix the salt, heat the water, check the PH, and supplement elements I feel are needed. I try to let it mix for 24/hrs before I add to the tank.

I have had them automated and carried buckets. Now I just run a soft silicone hose from the SW mix brute and into the tank. At some point in the future I’d like to get them automated again. It’s easier and faster. Plus it’s better to change smaller amounts daily vs 20% biweekly.

I felt like my tank was the most stable on the Core 7. The new tank will be setup with Triton again.

We’ll see how this one does. I need to call Nick and see when the tank will be finished. I’m ready to drill it, paint the back, and slap my old overflow box & purple plumbing on.

I use a vacuum hose attached to a long water hose going to a drain. The hose sucks debris off the aquarium floor...around 10% once a month. To replenish I use charcoal filtered tap water. The water is about aquarium tempetature but slowly added to the aquarium using 3 oxygen tubes submerged at least 2 feet in the water. For a quick salt mix I add my salt to the
Power head filter. I also add 2 cap fulls of water conditioner. Tangs in Montreal. One of my favorite cities to visit. Big clean City with lots to do and see Almost everyone speaks English and Francais.
