Me - I use a couple of clips with suction cups and a couple of frag plugs that I rubber band nori to.

In my big tank it will be impractical to use frag plugs due to difficulty of retrieval. I'm not super keen on the suction cup clips. seems I always break them either attaching or removing.. but I can live with that. I know there are some with magnets as well.

Also I cut the exposed part of the nori into thin strips.

I was looking at those. easy to reload?

So nice they are a little pricey. Just helps with the uneaten seaweed going everywhere in the tank.

I just throw a few corals in the tank and mine are happy.

If I had a gem tang that looked like yours, I would feed it coral happily! That thing is a beaut. I know the elegance is your favorite but dang that’s a life goal fish.

Super easy, I use a magnetic veggi clip like this one and load it up with live macro from the fuge. Either a chunk of dragon's breath or ulva sea lettuce. They go nuts for either of them, even after being fed with the rest of the tank.

I like to feed ulva as well.

I have a section of my sump on the big tank that is supposed to be a refugium but flow is to fast right now. I need to slow the flow down some first before I try ulva again.

That's what I usually feed mine because it grows so much faster than chaeto. I'm considering pulling the chaeto out all together because it's filling up the fuge so quickly.

Are your sheets of ulva large?

The issue I am running into with ulva is it comes in, in small pieces. I had to add a screen to the overflow in my refugium which then creates a dam which then makes noise/bubbles/splash blah blah blah...

I also use the magnetic veggie clip. I like it much better than the suction cup because you can put it in and take it out while barely getting your hands wet, and it works just as well even if it's been a while since the glass was cleaned.

Bottom line is be sure to feed them Nori or a good macro algae somehow. Back in the dark ages before I joined MARSH, I never fed Nori because it seemed redundant with all the algae growing in the tank. Even though they were always plenty fat, my tangs would only live 2-3 years before dying of horrible HLLE. My current yellow tang was on his way towards this fate, but I started feeding Nori and the deterioration stopped. He still looks terrible because the condition never reversed, but I've had him about 10 years now.

I cut strips of seaweed and just let it float on top of the tank. They will pull them down 1 by 1

They were fairly small pieces at first and had to use the dragon's breath to block it from clogging up the fuge weir. A lot of the ulva is getting to be rather long sheets now and is much easier to deal with. I still have to reach in daily and flip it over so the top layer doesn't dry out and die on me.

My tangs don't really like the seaweed I bought but I have 200 sheets of it. So I put it on a clip until it falls off and goes down the overflow...

So my tangs are PIGS...

If you’ve ever had a dog.. you know that sad my bowl is empty look?

I was out in the sun room working on things and every time I would get near the tank all 4 tangs would go to the closest nori clip and sit there and look at me with sad tang eyes.

Ok so they have had not 1, not 2, not 3....

they have had 8 yes 8 sheets of nori today lol...

Guess I’m going to need to look into cases of nori...
