I get all my glass cut at the same place that specializes in glass. They have every thickness I could want, are quick and efficient, and have alot of clients who go to them specifically for aquarium glass....AND they are a local small business with the nicest folks :) I actually just got some glass cut for a frag tank i'm building.

Personally, I would prefer them anyday over HD or Lowes because I know the cuts are precise and straight.

Same here. Just make sure you tell them “seamed edges” not beveled edges. The difference is that seamed is very lightly sanded and doesn’t change the edge much. It only takes off the sharp edge. If they mess up a seamed edge. Just tell them to leave the sharp edges and lightly sand them yourself at home. Some places try to take a grinder to the edges and I’ve has them really go too far and change the actual shape of the pretty scored edges.

Locally in 77573...I’ve used League City glass and Admiral glass. Admiral glass got to where they wanted to change a minimal amount per square inch or foot. Like say a small piece costs $2...they then started trying to change me $10. So I quit using them. Make sure you ask if there’s a minimal order or get a price quote first. Most smaller glass shops will simple cut it for you no problem. They cannot cut anything by hand over 1/2” and most will only cut up to 1/4” or maybe 3/8”. For sump baffles...1/4” is perfect.
