Yeah because it’s attached (Wiring/NG) a standby generator is Considered a fixture of the house and would convey with the sale. If you wanted to take it with you it would be best to uninstall it before listing your house.

Those Honda generators are the best generators money can buy. The Honda EU2200 is far and away the quietest I have heard...and they sell a crossover cable so you can join two of them together! The EU3000 is another inverter generator that is very quiet if you need more power. The ONLY downside to Honda's is the cost. If you can find them used those Honda engines just seem to run forever. I have fished with both the EU2200s and the EU3000s for all night sessions any they do not overheat and are nice and quiet. You cannot go wrong buying a Honda generator.
No, I don't own a Honda, I have a Yamaha which I would consider #2 on the list of best generators.
I had a Generac 4000XL I ran for over 10 years and it was running about 8 hours each weekend and it ran like a top. It was loud compared to a Honda but it was much more quiet than the knock-off generators.
With generators you really get what you pay for.

Love my EU2200i. The Eco-Throttle is a great feature. Thought about buying another one if I need more power. Plus two small gen’s are more portable than a large one.

This is what I paid with tax.

That seems extremely expensive, why not just buy a 5000w from Home Depot and pay half that? Plus it holds more gas.

Agreed, you want the clean power for reef equipment. Honda and Yamaha inverter generators are very clean...enough you can run a PC off of them without issue. You would never want to do that with any non-invert style. Generac makes an inverter generator that is supposed to be clean and it is almost half the price of Honda. But I still say Honda is the best and they are always my first choice.

A more efficient unit will make your gas go further. And if all your worried about is your reef tank your good. But if its really hot
your small unit will be a waste of time and money. Heat will take you down if your wife doesnt do it first.

Thanks. footguy I have had mine serviced annually from day 1. I think semi annually is not necessary unless you have had some major run time.
My unit runs 10 minutes a week a little over 9 hrs. Dont think mine has ever run 15 hrs in a year. I will be looking for a new service co as mine
never responded when I called them. Even to this day. I could do my own service from what Ive seen them do. I only kept them because they promised service.
Have you ever had to call arc between service?
