They were so tiny, there was no way to identify them. Most were about 3/16" long when I caught them inside the Galveston Jetty.
As they grew I noticed the top fin was not broken, I was one continual fin.
That eliminated most. I was wondering of it could be a croaker, or something.
Anyway, one of them finally got big enough and I could see the spot starting to become visible.
They dart around way to much. So, I was not able to catch a picture.

Here are the pictures. Anybody know what they are. The spot was a BIG HINT!
It is pretty big when I took the following pictures, but no spot yet.
One took off growing faster than the other. I identified them buy it. I was a faint spot last night to my delight! :clap2:

I am excited. I actually posted (somewhere, NANFA I think) that I wanted to do a Biotope of Corpus Christ bay and just have these fish in the tank. I thought I would have to go all the way to Corpus to get some.
I have about 10 of them I think. I need to try to count them.

Some snappers have a spot, but I don't think that's it.
I was hoping at first is was, but NOPE!
I used to catch them all day long on fishing piers on Corpus Christi Bay.
Fish with a cork and I would catch them. Fish on the bottom I would catch Hardheads.
I have not caught one in the Galveston are, until these.

I will try to catch a picture of the bigger one this evening and post it.
They are just so fast and active. My phone can't focus that fast.

I really don't want to say what it is. I want someone to identify it.
There is always the possibility, that I am wrong, but I feel very confident.
