Ok, when I was a kid and lived in Ingleside on the bay, we called them Piggy Perch.
It was just reciently I learned they are called Pinfish.
I have my hands full if I am going to have a piggy perch tank. (not to be confused with pig fish.)
Now aren't you dissapointed you did not think of it?

Looks like a fresh water female soard tail from my 80s fresh water aquarium days. I remember back in the early 70s when they sold for 37 cents at Ottawa K mart super store.

Tonight will be a excellent night to collect. Totally calm seas. Should be able to see a lot. The water has been fairly clear lately.

Trying to collect this Friday, but the tides will be a little high. It should be very calm though.
I just want to collect at least one anemone. I have my cleats that strap on my shoes so I can walk on the slime covered rocks.

Those warty anemones creep me out. I took a few home before. They would close up and when they did it was like looking at an ugly leather coral closed up, but worse. They don’t call them warty for nothing. I’d much rather have a nice Magnifica or Gigantea in the tank.

I think I remember you saying in a video you don't like them. LOL
Are Magnifica or Gigantea native to Galveston?

Not native, but beautiful. Very difficult to keep long term unless your tank is very stable and the parameters are in check. Do a few YouTube searches.

Here’s my friends Gigantea:
