My phone sucks for taking pics of corals in atinic lighting.

Anyone know what it is? I saw it at the San Antonio Aquarium this last weekend and wanted to know the name so I could get some.

Paly.jpg

The main face was actually green and the inner mouth, outer ring and lashes were an intense blue.

They looked fairly similar to these, but I cannot find a name on them..

Thanks in advance.

They look like grandis palys. There are several variations of them but generally look mostly the same.

By the way, they pack some palytoxin. They sent me to the ER. Just be careful fragging them if you ever do. It wasn't a fun experience.

Thanks for the info and heads up. I have a colony of brown and green grandis now and have been hesitant on fragging them for this very reason.

I found it. They are listed as neon green paly grandis.

You should be fine as long as you wear gloves and eye protection. I'd let them sit in their own bucket post frag and then rinse them off with tank water before putting them back in the tank. Running some carbon afterwards wouldn't hurt either.

After my experience, I put it in the "not worth it" category and removed them from my system.
