ICP-OES Test Kits, who uses them on regular basis? (1 Viewer)

Just curious, after a discussion about trace elements and Iodine specifically, who all has an ICP-OES test done on a regular basis?

How often is a regular basis for you?

Which test kit (company) do you use?

What problems have they helped you solve specifically?

I get one about every 6 months. I use the sponsors on here, ICP-Analysis. I have had decent results with them and their cost is fair if you buy it through Marsh. I use it mostly for piece of mind and to confirm that my dosing is on point since I dose everything manually.
But initially, it took me about 4 tests, one every two weeks, to get my dosing dialed in to where I wanted it.

I used to use the sponsor and I am back to using ATI primarily because they test for Florine. It’s kinda interesting also the differences in levels between the two tests that were sent out on the same day. I really should have sent out a triton test also to see how they all compare

I can't say I use them on a regular basis, but I use them occasionally, especially when there are problems. I have used both Triton and ICP-Analysis and both are good.

One time when a bunch of Acros were dying, an ICP test revealed an elevated level of tin, which I was able to remedy with water changes and metal-absorbing resin.

Earlier this year, when most of my LPS corals were dying, an ICP test showed the iodine level to be 0. Correcting this, along with nitrate and phosphate which had also gone to about 0, helped me save some of them.
