So I am looking to build casing around my LED lights and I would like a 'clean line modern look' for the housing. The lights will suspend from the ceiling over a 300 gallon tank that has all plumbing on the side (and this is the only side that is against a wall). Essentially the tank serves as a room divider.

The pic above is an idea of what I am thinking.

Where could I buy parts for the stainless steel bracket that attach to the lights?

Are there other modern ideas you have come across? Thoughts?

I hope you're able to pull that off, looks very slick.
No idea where you can get parts, but here's a free bump.

Welcome to marsh. Sounds like your setup is going to be a 300g peninsula style tank? That’s going to be pretty spectacular. where did you find the picture of that fixture? I honestly am curious why the need for a box around the light? normally people build boxes to reduce glare / light spill And hide cables etc. also, so many excellent lights with modern designs available today.

I hung mine up like this. I bought the stainless steel cable at home depot and the lighting kit from Ecotech. Hope this gives you some ideas.

Those look like some brackets you see on glass doors. I swear I have seen some of those on shower doors. Might check at a glass place first.

Make sure that your ceiling hooks/eyes are anchored to studs. You don't want to trust your sheetrock with your lights.

Which LED fixtures are you using?

For lights, I bought the MarshAqua dimmable 300W 31" (x2) and also have Reef Radiance's version (×2).

I am thinking I may use the same/ similar design using Brushed Black Nickel pipes so that light will not reflect; acrylic rods are also an option. This tank is actually set up in a small movie theater room that will have cold rolled steel walls in black. Using black rods would reduce light reflection.

So far, someone said I may be able to get the same design using modern brushed black nickel curtin rods since these also come with endpieces that could screw through the acrylic glass panes and can be changed out.

Here is a pic. I plan to get this started ASAP once I figure out the best option. My goal is this week.

I appreciate the beautiful people of MARSH. I may sell one of the lights just to pay some dues (again)! SmartSelect_20200711-085303_Pinterest.jpg
