Ideas on sump modification (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

I want to create an area for filter floss, I dont like the ones where you put it in the cup. I am limited on space therefore either I buy a fiji advanced 20 sump or modify my existing sump by adding something like the fiij that takes the water then overflows to a filter floss section?

Not sure anyone can make this, or was thinking to go to HD and get plexiglass/acrylic thin and make it myself. I dont want to take the sump out and silicone as that takes time to cure if I get glass pieces cut.

Any ideas or help appreciated.

No matter what the sump will have to come out. I just did this on mine as the end cracked on a bulkhead and I had to replace the side 18x18

Here's what I had to end up doing. Cut out the side where the bulkheads cracked, put a new peice of acrylic in and then built a box to house my pump since it used to be external but started having leaks and didn't want to worry anymore. Not done putting it all back together but you get the idea. Just a quick fixer upper for now.

I saw this I am looking at possibly changing mine as well ...I want to make it a true showpiece below too (so with lids and all not open is my thought...
I loved this thing:

But I have a 650 peninsula... and I want to put in instead of his filter I have ordered a 1200 reefmat...
I have full apex and am even willing to invest in a new protein skimmer, I am atm working on my RODI/Saltwater station...
But am open to suggestions...
