Prazi Pro... is it lethargic with white string poop and not eating? If they were in a QT you could raise the temp to 82-84*. That helps. But Prazi is best for that.

She is very active and eating. I am going to get a QT tank set up so I can treat her. I guess I will have to treat all 3 of my fish. It will be fun catching then.

+1. Metrodinazole is a good medicine for internal parasites too but you need a QT for sure.

Even Aquarium World carries it. Fish don't really like it, esp if they're already sick. Baths and QT are the best in this situation. I'd use the food in a QT setup for new fish. But then again, I bought some Dr Gs yesterday along with PraziPro for insurance lol. Just seems like a lot of parasites and protozoans are in the waters in Houston.

And make sure if you treat a reef tank with Dr G's food you don't let corals get it. Or else..... something like allelopathy happens. Man I like that word lol. Thanks Steve!!!

Do you know about fresh water dip for parasites. have done this before and brought back fish from the brink. You need a bucket of fresh water
and an aireater, not fresh water out of the tap we dont want chlorine. make sure your adapt the fish to changing water temps. drop the fish into the aireated fresh water
and keep him under obsevation. usually between 5 to 10 minutes he will expel all the dead bugs. will say I never had done this with a clown
I think its better than the alternative of putting chemical in your tank

The Dr Gs food worked incredible on my fish both on ich and the internal parasites, one of the best treatments that I have found, only issue is that it killed my cleaner shrimp that liked to eat it also.

Soooo.....my female clown has intestinal parasites again, still, whatever. UGH!!! Does anyone think a freshwater dip would help? Has anyone done one and it worked? Any advice would be helpful.

De-Worming Marine Fish - Be a Super Pooper Snooper!

Freshwater dip I dont think is going to help. Fish are able to control their osmotic balance inside their body, hince why they can survive in freshwater for a period of time. Dips work well when the parasite is external to the fish, parasites unlike the fish cannot balance this, hince why the pretty much explode when exposed to freshwater for a period of time. Since the parasite is already inside the fish and a fish is able to control the pressure and salinity balance in its body, its not going to do anything to a fish. Think of it like having a tapeworm in your body, is going swimming in salt or freshwater going to to do anything to that worm?
