I have at least 6 of these in my 125 tank. They look like wee bebe starfish. They have 5 or 6 arms each and are roughly a quarter of an inch wide... very light brown in colour.

During the night there will be 100s of them on the walls of my tanks. they are algae and trash eaters. People claim they attach corals
but in fact if they are on corals there going after dead or dying materials.

Don’t know the validity, but I read somewhere that if they have a green back they will eat coral, gray or tan back they are harmless. I have not had any problems with them in my tanks.

Well if you don’t like them and you start to get a sizable population of them you can always get a harlequin shrimp they will eat them until they’re gone. But after that you’ll have to feed the shrimp other starfish to keep it alive because that’s all they eat is starfish. I’ve read and heard some people buy cheap starfish like the chocolate chip for sale like you see in some pet stores and cut off one of their legs to feed the shrimp to keep it alive. The starfish will eventually grow another leg where it was cut off and you can keep feeding their legs to the shrimp.
