Could a Jebo return pump produce micro bubbles in the dispaly?

I have a 60 cube with a eshopps R-100 underneath. I have had mico bubbles in my display for weeks now and can not figure out why. The skimmer is not producing many micro bubbles and I see none in the return chamber. The only thing I can figure out is there is something wrong with the Jebo return pump that is producing bubbles. Suggestions?

Do you actually see the pump producing micro bubbles or is that just your best guess?
I use Jebao return pumps and dont have any microbubble issues.

No I do not see it producing them. Just trying to figure out where they are coming from.

Gotcha.
Have you had this setup running for a while before the bubbles started, or have they always been an issue?
Also, do you have a bubble trap/filter before the return section?

Been running for a while now. But they come and go. Yes there is a Hubble trap between the skmmier and return and one between the fuge and return.

Other hunting down the source of the bubbles, nothing else I can suggest.
When this has happened to me, it's always been the skimmer.
Weird that the bubble traps aren't doing their job

Thank you. Trying to help each other is sometimes the best thing we can do. You dont think the elbows and tee at the top are causing an issue? They are all sealed good. Just didnt know if this might cause "turbulence" in the water and therefore micro bubbles.

That scenario sounds pretty logical to me. I would try switching to a standard single return jet if it isn't much trouble.
Process of elimination when in doubt lol

Only time I’ve seen micro bubbles is when I have disturbance near my return such as water breakage. Any equipment or water coming into the area in the sump near the return pump? My ATO line runs into my chamber with my return, so when my tank is getting topped off, it creates a little micro bubbles. Just a thought!

I use to have the ATO return there but moved it to my fuge chamber a couple days ago. Other then there there is nothing that runs into that chamber.

I think on my next day off I will play with the locline and see if I cant find anywhere air is getting in.

Okay and the water coming into that chamber isn’t coming in with heavy movement? Like dropping from way high or anything?

Should I take the loc line out and go with straight PVC?

Personally don’t think it’s the loc line. How are the joints between all of them?

All good as far as I can tell. I bought it all new a couple weeks ago. The lart the screws into the PVC was sealed with teflon tape.

This joint is the only one I did not glue. Only place I could think it would suck air.

So I solved the micro bubbles problem.....

Now, I have another return pump question.

I have a tunze 3155 ATO with the sensor in the return chamber. The issue is the water level fluctuates in the return chamber for some reason. The water level will drop and the ATO will kick on putting RODI water in the chamber. The chamber then fills up again with water from the dispaly making the high water alarm kick on. Within a few seconds the water level drops kicking on the ATO pump again. This is a continued cycle until I turn off the ATO. I can literally watch the water level rise and fall. This is causing too much RODI water to be put in the tank which is lowering my salinity and making my skimmer go crazy.

Suggestions?

It sounds like your return pump is pumping faster than the overflow can drain. Try these steps...Make sure your drain is open all the way, check that there is not a filter in your sump thats clogged slowing down your flow... and if those are all good then try slowing down your return pump. Did you recently clean your return pump?
