This is probably the best example...

Travis has been running them quite awhile. I have also been running LED in my biocube for over a year. Mostly LPS but I have a green slimer and Fire and Ice Monti Digi's that have done very well. You will be very happy with LED, especially when you first see how your corals flouresce under Royal Blue.

What kind of lighting do you have now?

The ability to change color is why we made our retrofit LED boards modular. That way the LED's can be changed with a screwdriver. But our boards are designed for retrofit. We don't offer a fixture yet. But one is coming soon. Have you looked at the Maxpects? I believe they are modular as well.

I think those are the ones I looked into and from what I saw the colors are amazing. You would never know they werent t5's just by pictures. I will try to find the thread I saw of a sps tank with them.

Any DIY led fixture can be "modular" in that way as long as you use the solder less connectors here, if you don't like the color just swap the led. Just be sure to adjust you power before you do it so you don't blow the string.
