Do all the Lfs look really bad right now or is it just me? I went to one store and one display had more aptasia than I have ever seen and very sick fish for sale. They have really let themselves go.

I have only been to one locally and they were still looking pretty good. I can't speak however to the condition of others. If their systems are a tad unkept I imagine it would have to do with reduced staff and/or hours, possible difficulty in getting those natural predators in stock that would otherwise help keep things like Aptasia in check. Freight and shipping costs and availability right now are really having an unfortunate economic effect on many lfs's everywhere right now. Show our lfs's some love and encouragememt, I'm sure they'd appreciate it [emoji3]

Some are definitely more taken care of than others.

Agreed. I have been to some and from the state they were in didn't even want to buy dry goods much less anything living. I have also been to others that were absolutely pristine and looked like something you would see in a photo shoot and not a business. It all depends on the owner/manager's level of dedication and how long it is until they retire/sell.
