Marineland Stealth Heater 300 Watt (1 Viewer)

My mother-in-law has a 125 mixed reef. She had a Marineland Stealth Pro 300 watt heater in the sump. Friday morning the heater popped the top completely off and the contents of the heater crashed the tank. I started researching it after it happened and sure enough there are literally hundreds of cases of this happening. If you are using one please remove it as soon as possible. Lesson learned. I am glad I have a titanium in the 150 SPS.

Thank you for the information. I guess neither one of us saw anything about them being defective. Another hard aquarium lesson learned.

Just got a letter from Petsmart. If you bought one of these you can take it back to the store for a refund or exchange.
