Do they sell any of the live fish food?
They do not, but they did share their recipe for the food they make with us a few years back. It's here in one of these threads somewhere, I will see if I can track it down and repost.

Did you know Moody Gardens scientific divers are part of a Coral Research Program with Rice University?

Previously, Dive Safety Officer Jake Emmert joined doctoral student Lauren Howe-Kerr in an effort to better understand how critical of a role nutrients play in the larger picture of coral reef health and reproduction.

Check out the video put together of Moorea Expedition I in their video library or at

Normally we would be getting ready for our annual summer back stage tour at Moody Gardens about this time of year. For the month of July however, our friendly neighborhood MG biologist is participating with Rice University Researchers. Shout out to @Seaturtle !

So what are some ways you can lend a hand in coral reef conservation? Well, some of you already HAVE!

Recently Moody Gardens teamed up with Super78 to create Reef Rescue, an interactive virtual reality experience where guests pilot their own R.O.V.E.R. to help restore the undersea home of the fish that live at The Great Barrier Reef.

$1 from every Reef Rescue individual ticket sold goes to SeCore, an international non-profit organization focused on coral reef conservation. Well with your help, they've exceeded $5,000 in Conservation Funds!

Way to go!

A female Brown Banded Bamboo Shark. I think there are multiples with her but she is probably the smallest. I think the last picture was July 2018.
