If it is not meant to be outside, chances are it does not have additives for uv resistance. Over time sunlight will cause the coating to crack exposing the wire.

I have done a lot of RO system work. I bought the system on clearance when Marine Depot merged with BRS. Since then I added the water saver kit, pressure tank and a faucet on my kitchen sink for RO water. There’s not enough room for the pressure tank under the sink so I drilled a hole and put it in the cabinet next to the sink.
