i have 250w 20k and 250w 14k ? does it make different when growing sps ?

Yes... I believe 10K will grow the fastest (obviously you don't have one of these). 14K is a nice happy medium between fast growth, and nice color (I use 15K myself). And 20K makes the corals really pop out, but they tend to grow slower. This is just what I've heard from buddies that I've traded frags/livestock/equipment with... so, I don't know 100%. Given your two choices, I'd go with the 14K if you are still growing out frags. I'm going to buy a 10K soon because Mike showed me the light (pun intended).

I got 10k and everything is growing very fast but the color(yellowish) is not that pretty. Its good to grow out corals. i like 14k and 20k. i got 14k on my 29g and the color is nice. you dont need actinics for 14k or 20k. i will change all my bulbs to 20k when time to change them out.

I like 12 k bulbs with blue and actinic additional lighting to grow coral fast and keep the colors awesome.
