Question for those with mixing stations. I finally have my mixing station up and running. I am planning on hooking up the auto water change this weekend. I bought a Jebao DCP 6500 to mix the saltwater tank but it doesn’t look like it’s moving much water. The tanks are 65 gallons. The pump should be around 1000gph with the current head pressure. Is this enough to run the mixing or should I go bigger?

Head pressure plus 2x 90s, flow might be a little lower than you think. It wouldn't hurt to go bigger but I figure as long as it's mixing it should be fine. If you feel like you don't have enough flow you can always drop a power head in the tank for some added flow.

You could go bigger or there’s a few other options. A lot of people I know will use a mixing paddle to get the unmixed product at the bottom, corners, etc. Google this 36" Tamco HDPE mixing paddle and go to images.

You can also use different techniques to increase the flow you already have.

I’d throw an external pressure pump on that thing. You can get one pretty cheap because people just aren’t using them as much these days.

This guy is selling a few for $40.

The 55rlt would be perfect. Used to be the go to pressure pump for the hobby.

Yeah, that’s a quality pump.
